We read in Don Bosco’s letter from Rome of 1884, “...the greatest cordiality and confidence existed between the boys and the superiors. Familiarity breeds affection and affection breeds confidence”. Indeed this same spirit permeated the Sliema Oratory throughout the 3-day long celebrations of its 101 years since the foundation of the same. This year’s festivity coincided with the 150th anniversary since the beginning of the Salesian Congregation. A special program was organised to underline the moment of grace.
Drama and Dance were the central theme for the Live-in organised for the Preteens, from the 28 to the 30 May, at the Salesian Oratory in Sliema. 8 Preteens decide to take the challenge and attend this live-in. During the live in under the direction of Edwina Farrugia, with help from Tonio Vassallo and Nadia Polidano, the participants had the opportunity to discover basics in dance and drama. The kids also had the opportunity to visit one of the major local dance studios in Malta and meet Kurt Castillo a local talent in Drama and Dance.
